Just wanted to send you a quick update to let you know our baby arrived on Tuesday at 12:23PM.
I was booked for induction on Monday but waters broke on Sunday night at 11PM instead.
We went to CUMH at 7am Sunday morning and managed to labour away myself till around 8pm on Sunday evening. They moved me down to induction room then, I was 3cm and fully effaced at this stage. Midwife wanted to put me on syntocin drip immediately but I asked for some time & went walking.

Unfortunately my contractions completely died off after about an hour. I was totally disheartened and went back to induction room and just asked the midwife to start drip. She recommended I take a bit of time and put on a GentleGirth track to try and re-focus. I did, and it worked. Contractions came back with a vengeance and at 12:30am I was moved to labour ward.
I got to 7cm with just gas and air but again stopped progressing. Then I went on the drip for 2 hours but still failed to progress. At that point it looked like some sort of interventions were going to be needed and I was exhausted so got the epidural.
Baby was delivered some hours later with vacuum and episiotomy. She had been OP all throughout labour but managed to turn during the pushing stage.
I'm totally happy with how everything went.
The tracks really helped during the labour. I feel like workshop really helped me to stay calm and enabled me to push back at certain points in the hospital. Overall it was such a positive experience for me, considering how frightened I was of labour, I really surprised myself.
